Which bills can I pay from the mobile app?

You can use your mobile banking app to pay any bill, such as utility, local authority, credit card companies.

To ensure your money is safe, we will sometimes ask you to authorise a payment.

  • If you have registered for face biometrics, we will ask you to use this and you will be able to authorise a new payment up to £20,000.00.

If you haven’t registered for face biometrics you can

  • Use Face ID/Touch ID on iOS, fingerprint on Android or your app passcode up to the mobile app daily limit.

You can pay a bill to a company you have paid before using the same reference. Mobile payment limits apply.

If the bill is over £750 then you will need to use Digital Banking if you have not registered for face biometrics. However, if you have registered for face biometrics then you can pay a bill up to £20,000.00 for Personal customers or £50,000.00 for Premier and Business customers using your mobile app. Mobile payment limits.

To pay a bill using your mobile

  1. Log into the Mobile Banking App
  2. Select 'Pay' under the account you wish to make the payment from
  3. Select “Make a payment” and “Choose Payee”
  4. Select company that you wish to pay from the list.
  5. Enter amount you wish to pay
  6. Select 'Make a Payment'

If the bill is up to £750, then you can change the reference and make the payment using your mobile banking app. If the bill is over £750, then you will need to use Digital Banking to make the payment if you have not registered for face biometrics. However, if the bill is up to £20,000.00 for Personal customers or £50,000.00 for Premier and Business customers using your mobile app.

If the bill is up to £750, then you can make the payment using your mobile banking app. You can either add the bank details or search from the list available. However, if you have registered for face biometrics you can pay a new bill up to £20,000.00 for Personal customers or £50,000.00 for Premier and Business customers.

To pay a bill using your mobile

  1. Log into the Mobile Banking App
  2. Select 'Pay' under the account you wish to make the payment from
  3. Select 'Make a payment' and “Choose Payee”
  4. Select “Pay Someone New” then search for the company. On Android you can use the search button, on iOS you can start typing the name of the company and select the company.
  5. Enter amount you wish to pay
  6. Select 'Make a Payment'
