No foreign transaction fees for using your debit card for purchases abroad
Customers with a Reward Silver account don't pay any non-sterling transaction fees.
That means you can make purchases with your Reward Silver debit card anywhere outside the UK, in any currency, without worrying about being charged for using your card abroad. Other local fees may apply.
Withdrawing cash when abroad
Cash is accepted everywhere, so it can be a good idea to have some on you, especially if you’re travelling off the beaten track. However getting money from a cashpoint abroad can come with charges. You’ll most likely be charged a non-sterling transaction fee.

Switch to Royal Bank
The Current Account Switch Service will do all the work when it comes to switching, moving everything across from your old account all within 7 working days, including Direct Debits and standing orders. All you need to do is tell us the details of your old bank account and when you want the Switch to start.
We can not switch savings accounts or ISAs through this service. Any other products you have with your old bank will not be moved at the same time.
