Can I use someone else's card-reader, even one from another bank or building society?
Yes, if you have a Royal Bank of Scotland card reader from us, you can use that, or most card readers from other banks.
Don't have a card reader? You can order one in Digital Banking.
To order a new card reader:
- Access your Digital Banking service at digitalbanking.rbs.co.uk (opens in a new window)
- Select the drop-down arrow next to your name in the top right-hand corner to open your profile panel
- Under 'Privacy and security', select 'Order a card reader', then follow the on screen instructions
Alternatively you may be eligible to use your biometrics on your mobile app.
