How can I get a copy of my statement?

Getting a paper copy of your bank account statement

Digital Banking

If you want paper copies of your online statements for your current, savings accounts or credit card, you can save and print PDF versions from your Digital Banking service.

For help with printing paper statements, you can follow the step by step instructions.

  1. Log in to Digital Banking at www.digitalbanking.rbs.co.uk (opens in a new window)
  2. Select 'Statements & transactions' from the main menu and then 'Statements' from the 'Your statements' section
  3. Your available statements for the highlighted account and given year in the time period dropdown will be shown on screen
  4. You can choose a different account if you have more than one and change the year using the time period dropdown
  5. Select the relevant statement cycle link displayed on the page and it will download as a PDF file as per your browser settings

You can now print or save the PDF file.

Want a copy posted to you?

If you find you can't print a PDF statement by following these instructions, or don't have access to a printer, you can chat to our Digital Banking helpdesk or call in to a branch.

There are two options depending on your needs:

Transaction History List (up to 10 years)

  • Which is free
  • Will arrive within 5 working days on headed paper & to your Secure Inbox within 48 hours
  • Widely accepted for proof of current address and income

Copy of an original statement

  • Costs £3 per order (for historic statements)
  • Will arrive in 12 - 16 working days
  • May be accepted as proof of address (the statement will contain the address for where you lived at the time the original was created and will not be updated if your current address is now different)
  • Accepted for proof of income

Mobile App (Credit Card)

  • Once logged in to the app, select your credit card, and choose the ‘statements’ option.
  • Select the drop down arrow next to ‘more info on statements’.
  • Select the statement you would like to view.
  • Scroll down, and click ‘apply’
  • This will take you out of the app, but still keep you logged in.
  • Select the little export button to the top right. Choose how you’d like to export the statement.

If you don't have the mobile app, or Digital Banking, please call Credit Card Services. There is a £3 charge for posting a copy of a paper statement to you, and you should receive it within 7-10 days.
