Your Travel account is linked to your main current account and uses the same debit card. This means when you're abroad you don't need to worry about an additional card or PIN number. If there is enough money in your Travel account, any spending in your chosen currency using your debit card will be taken from your Travel account and you won't pay any fees or charges from us.
Travel account works with your bank account's existing physical or virtual debits cards. You can also use a digital wallet, like Apple Pay or Google Pay, to spend from a Travel account.
Every 30 days, you can also take out €200 or $200 in cash from ATMs before we’ll charge a fee. Local ATMs may charge their own fees however, so watch out for those.
For online spending, if you make an eCommerce transaction in euro or US dollar and you hold enough currency in a Travel account to cover the full transaction, we'll take the money from your Travel account. If the currency is in pounds, we'll take the money from your regular current account.
