Why am I getting the message 'My Get Cash code is invalid' when I type it into the cash machine?

There are a number of reasons why you may receive the message that your Get Cash code is invalid:

  • Code Expired. Your Get Cash code is only valid for 3 hours. You can check the expiry time under the code in your Mobile Banking app.
  • Incorrect Entry. The code must be entered twice at the cash machine. Ensure you enter the correct digits on both screens.
  • Requested Amount Cannot Be Dispensed. Some cash machines may not have the required denominations. For example, if you request £50 but the machine does not have £10 notes, it cannot dispense the amount.

If the machine cannot dispense the requested amount, this will be displayed at the bottom of the main screen before you select Get Cash. In this case, your code is still valid and can be used at another suitable cash machine, provided you are within the 3-hour time limit.

  • NatWest
  • Royal Bank of Scotland
  • Ulster Bank
  • NatWest International
  • Isle of Man Bank
  • Tesco
