What does having restricted access to my funds mean for me?

What does having restricted access to my funds mean for me?

The nature of a fixed term savings product means that you secure a higher rate of interest on your savings in return for restricted access to your funds for an agreed period of time e.g. one year or two years, depending on your preferred term.

This restricted access means that full or partial withdrawals are not permitted after the start date of the Fixed Term Savings Account. Please see your Information Sheet to confirm the start date of your account.

If you require access to your funds after the start date you will need to close your Fixed Term Savings account early. An Early Closure Charge will apply, except in the event of death or Involuntary Redundancy. Please see your Information Sheet to confirm your Early Closure Charge amount.

To close your account early, you will need to provide 35 days' written notice to close the account, and acknowledge the Early Closure Charge that will apply, unless you are closing in the event of death or Involuntary Redundancy.
