How much will my overdraft cost?
An overview of charges for arranged overdrafts and unarranged overdrafts is available here. Both types cost money.
Arranged Overdraft
We will only charge interest if you use your arranged overdraft. No other fees will be charged. Our interest charge varies depending on which current account you have.

Unarranged Overdraft
An unarranged overdraft is when you spend more money than you have in your account without already having an Arranged Overdraft, or when you exceed your current arranged overdraft.
Unarranged Overdraft interest will have been charged if you've gone overdrawn without arranging it with us first. We do not charge usage fees for our overdrafts. Our interest charge varies depending on which current account you have.

An Unpaid Transaction Fee of £1.55 is charged for a transaction that we return unpaid. A transaction (e.g. a Direct Debit) will be returned if the payment cannot be met from funds in your account or any unused arranged overdraft facility and we decide in our discretion not to make the payment.
We won’t charge you more than £18.80 in a monthly charging period for an unarranged overdraft or any unpaid transaction.
