How to receive a payment
If you want to receive money directly into your bank account linked to your mobile number from other NatWest Group customers, you will need to register for Pay Your Contacts.
You'll still be able to send and receive money using an account number and sort code, or you can also request payments using PayMe (opens in a new window) by clicking 'Payments' at the bottom of your home screen.
To receive payments by mobile number directly into your account
- Open your Royal Bank of Scotland app, tap on the 'My Profile' icon at the top right of the screen
- Tap on 'Pay Your Contacts'
- Tap on 'Start'
- Select the account you want to link Pay Your Contacts to. This will be the account money will be sent to if someone pays you using Pay Your Contacts.
- Agree to the terms for registering to receive money direct into your bank account by mobile number
- Tap 'Confirm'
You're now ready to receive Pay Your Contacts payments directly to your bank account linked to your mobile number.
Available on eligible accounts. You must be 16+. Limits apply. Exclusions may apply to non NWG banks.
