What is my Digital Banking Mailbox and how do I access it?
Your Digital Banking Mailbox (also available in the Mobile App) is a secure way to receive and access important mail in electronic format. You can view, download, share, archive, or print PDF copies of your mail at any time. Types of mail you may receive include:
Overdraft agreements
Notifications of unpaid items
ISA declarations
Annual statements of fees
Letters confirming details of new accounts you’ve opened
We’re gradually increasing the range of mail available in your Mailbox.
How do I access my Mailbox?
Digital Banking
Go to digitalbanking.rbs.co.uk (opens in a new window) and log in.
Select 'Mailbox' from the main menu.
Mobile App
Tap the Alerts icon (bell symbol) in the top-right corner, then go to Mailbox.
Viewing, Downloading, and Printing Mail
- Log in to Digital Banking
- Select 'Mailbox' from the main menu
- Choose the mail item you want to view. Details will appear on the right-hand side of the screen.
- Click 'Open document'
- The document will download automatically to your device. Access it using your usual method for opening downloaded files.
Archiving Mail
- Select the mail item you want to archive.
- Click 'Archive'.
- Archived items will be stored in the Archive section of your Mailbox.
How long are documents stored?
All documents remain in your Mailbox for up to 2 years.
Paperless Settings
You’ll automatically receive eligible mail in your Mailbox and by post.
If you prefer to go paperless:
Update your preferences in Paperless settings in the Digital Banking main menu.
If you go paperless, we’ll send you an alert when new mail arrives.
Choose email, text, or both under 'Alerts' > 'Account Alerts' > 'New Mail' in your Mailbox.
Note: Even if you go paperless, we may still send some important letters by post.
Important Information
The Mailbox is for receiving mail only. You cannot forward or reply to messages.
