Tyl by Natwest lets you accept online payments in a number of ways to suit you, whether that’s online through your website, through a secure link or on any secure device.

What different ways can I take payments?

Secure payment pages

Responsive, optimised secure payment pages are great  whether your customers are shopping on their desktop, tablet or mobile.

Simply add to your own website (or we can help) and you can customise the look and feel so they work with your brand. It’s  that easy.

Get your customers to pay by a link

With ‘3D Secure’ for fraud protection, this is a safe way for your customers to pay you online using a unique link. It works really well if you don’t have a website of your own, and is super simple to set up and use. 

Use a virtual terminal

Whether you’ve got a laptop, secure tablet or desktop, a virtual terminal will mean you can take payments using your internet browser or on the phone. It’ll also help you to manage those transactions, with a range of useful features.

Getting started with online payments

Whichever type of online payment you choose for your business, Tyl will only charge you one single monthly fee, and you can make as many transactions as you like. You’ll pay £14.95 (+VAT per month) on a rolling contract.

There’s an additional charge for PCI and processing costs, which will be explained in your personalised quote.

How safe are online payments?

We’d like to think ours are as safe as they can be. Tyl’s hosted payments pages and virtual terminals comply with 3SD2, which basically means that your business will meet the government’s new payment rules with our super secure payments.

And of course, our options all look after your customer data securely, and reduce the likelihood of fraud, with the existing ‘3D Secure’ programme. And because the hosted payment pages belong to us, there’s less headaches for you complying with Data Security Standards of the Payment Card Industry (PCI) too. 

How do I get set up?

1. Get a bespoke quote

A fair price based on your business and what you need.  You’ll get a 30-day rolling contract, there’s no fixed term contracts hiding here!

2. Start to take payments

Once you’re approved then it’s really simple to set up. Even better, that should be within 48 hours, so it’s speedy too.

3. See your money hit your account

No more waiting ages for your payments to clear. You’ll see the cash hit your account the next business day.

4. Check out your trading data

See your sales and trading data on the whizzy Tyl portal. You’ll get that as part of the package, you don’t pay anything extra.
