How to pay in a cheque

For RBS Bankline customers

For RBS Bankline customers, we’re currently running a pilot scheme to try out our cheque scan feature and start paying in cheques on the go.

Who can register to join the cheque scan pilot?

Bankline customers with an active RBS Business Current Account can register their interest to join. You’ll also need to have banked with us for at least 2 years.

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to register to join our current pilot programme if you’re not a current RBS Bankline customer.

What does it cost?

You'll pay 70p for each cheque you deposit. You'll also pay 70p per credit – you can add up to 10 cheques to a credit (subject to a daily total of £5000) before submitting it.

More about the RBS Bankline cheque scan pilot

To take part, you'll need an Apple iPhone 6 or above. You can also use an iPad with iOS 13 or above. For the pilot, we won’t be able to support Android devices.

We also ask that you have an active RBS Business Current Account and have banked with us for at least 2 years.

By joining our pilot, you’ll be able to use your mobile device to:

  • pay cheques into a single nominated account
  • pay in individual cheques of up to £1000
  • pay in cheques to a total value of £5000 per day
