What’s new in Bankline? Latest features and tips

Welcome to the latest edition of our ‘What’s New?’ blog series! This series will introduce you to all the latest features, provide further support and some tips to help you get the most out of Bankline.

Admin update: improved look and feel

We’ve updated the look of Manage customer details, Manage dual admin settings, Manage payment preferences (including selecting destination countries for international payments) and Manage payment limits, with improved descriptions of what the settings mean. 

What does this mean for my existing settings?

Your existing settings remain the same but don’t forget to review your choices to make sure they still align with your business needs.

The Bankline Mobile app is now available for our Royal Bank of Scotland customers

Check your balances and transactions as well as raise and approve payments anywhere, anytime with our Bankline companion app. The app offers extra security by using your mobile’s biometrics to log in and approve payments – meaning there's no need to carry your smartcard and reader. 

How can I access Bankline Mobile?

The Bankline Mobile app is available to customers with a registered Bankline account and user ID fully activated. The app can be downloaded on iPhones and Android devices running the latest operating system version.

How do privileges work on Bankline Mobile?

Access to the Bankline Mobile app must be managed by the profile's Bankline administrators. They must assign users the Bankline Mobile privilege. Administrators can learn how to set up Bankline Mobile on our Bankline Mobile website.

You can now log in to other Royal Bank of Scotland services using Bankline

To access this functionality, go to the Launchpad panel on your dashboard to connect your eligible services, eliminating the need for separate logins. You can also connect your services via the drop-down menu where you log out of Bankline – look for the new ‘connections’ button.

What privileges are required? 

None. Services available for connection will only be displayed if you are already subscribed to them.

How does this benefit me?

  • Seamless integration and a streamlined experience - spend less time juggling multiple login details. 
  • Effortless navigation and enhanced efficiency - simplify complex tasks by easily moving between Bankline and your connected services, saving you time and effort.

We’ve started with Agile Markets and ClearSpend but will be adding new services that can be connected with Bankline over time.

You can now manage your statement preferences

We have added a new ‘Manage paperless preferences’ feature to new Bankline, which gives you the option to switch off receiving paper versions of Statements, Pre notifications of Interest and Pre notifications of Charges, helping reduce unnecessary paper use. 

What privileges will I need for this?

You’ll need the ‘Manage paperless preference’ privilege to amend your paperless preferences. Paperless preferences cannot be amended for currency accounts, third party accounts, external accounts or accounts that currently have documentation suppressed. 

How does this benefit me?

  • Time saving – you’ll be able to select which accounts you don’t want to receive paper documents for and have email reminders sent to you when a new document is available to download.
  • Efficiency – you'll be able to keep a digital copy of a document for your records instead of having a paper copy sent to you.
