Check out the new Bankline Mobile app

We’ve recently launched Bankline Mobile, our new companion app for Bankline.  Read on to see how it could help you and your team manage your finances, wherever you are. 

If you’re already using the app, great job! We’ve got some handy tips on how to get the very best from Bankline Mobile in 2025.

What are the benefits?

We’ve designed Bankline Mobile to help businesses keep on top of their finances on the move. It works alongside our main Bankline service.

Here’s what you can look forward to doing with the app:  

  • Check your account balances and transactions, so you never miss a beat. 
  • Raise and approve payments anywhere your working day takes you.  
  • Tired of using your smartcard and card reader? With the mobile app, you can log on and approve payments using your phone’s biometrics, and it’s just as secure. 

And that’s just the start. We have a range of features we’re developing and bringing to the app, and we’ll let you know more about these in the future. 

What’s the verdict so far?

We’ve developed the app with help from customers. We ran a test (or beta, if you prefer the technical term) with a small group of users, to make sure it’s as easy to use and responsive to your needs as possible. Here’s what some of our users have said so far:

“I've only just signed up to the RBS Bankline Mobile Beta Testing and love what I see so far.”

How to download the app and start using it

To start with, your administrator will need to assign you and your team the ‘Bankline Mobile’ privilege. Learn how to assign the privilege.  

Then you can download the app, register for Bankline Mobile, and start using it.

The Bankline Mobile app is available on iPhones and Android devices running the latest OS version and to customers with a Bankline account. There’s no additional charge for downloading Bankline Mobile. All transactions will be billed in line with your Bankline tariff. Your mobile phone network operator may charge you when using Bankline Mobile and these charges may vary, if you use your mobile phone to access Bankline Mobile when abroad. Bankline is available to customers who have an eligible Royal Bank business current account. Fees apply. 

Search 'Royal Bank Bankline Mobile' or download the app from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Handy tips on getting the most from Bankline Mobile

  • You can use dark mode to save phone battery and be kind to your eyes.  
  • Go to the ‘Show me how’ section in ‘Settings’ > ‘Help’ to see everything you can do in the app and how do it. 
  • Talk with your team to decide how to best integrate Bankline Mobile into your workflow and processes. If any questions come up, we’ll be happy to help.
