How do I order a new, replacement or additional card-reader?
If you have never ordered a card reader, or if your existing card reader is lost, damaged, or has no battery power, you can request a new one through Digital Banking. Your replacement will usually arrive within 3–5 working days, but please allow up to 7 working days for delivery.
To order a card reader:
- Log in to Digital Banking at digitalbanking.rbs.co.uk (opens in a new window) .
- From the menu, select 'Security'.
- Under 'Using a card reader', choose 'Order a card reader'.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your order.

- Make payments quickly and easily.
- Manage regular payments such as standing orders.
