Neil is a London-based Market Strategist specialising in the economies of the G10, interest rate and foreign exchange markets. Neil offers his thoughts and opinions by regularly speaking at corporate events and seminars, hosting a regular monthly conference call for clients and attending client meetings.
While working for the Bank, Neil has specialised in UK economic analysis, the US & Euroland economies, and also foreign exchange and interest rate markets. In this capacity he’s participated in a number of industry seminars / forums as a keynote speaker.
During his career, he has also worked closely with former MPC member Marian Bell on a research project studying inflation trends and interest rates markets. This research lead to the formation of the banking group’s Inflation Swaps trading business in the late 1990s.
Neil is also the leading researcher and writer on all of these subjects for clients, including regular content features such as the FX Week Ahead, Monthly Strategy Economics and Market Update, FX Reuters Poll, and ad-hoc commentary around market-moving events.
