Manage your Revolve account

We want to ensure that everyone is aware of their account terms, rates and charges. So we've gathered all the important information for your Revolve current account in one place.

Your digital wallet allows you to pay using your phone. You can use Apple Pay or Google Pay™ for an easy and secure way to pay. Retailer limits may apply. (Apple Pay and Google Pay only available to customers aged 13+ with compatible iOS and Android devices.)

If you've misplaced your debit or credit card, you can lock it until you find it.

Card been lost, stolen or damaged? The quickest way to report this is through the app.

Left your card at home? No problem.

If you have at least £10 available in your account and your debit card is active, you can get cash without your card. You can withdraw up to £130 every 24 hours from our branded ATMs.

Simply log in to your app, click your current account tile and click 'Get Cash'.

Just take a photo of the front and back of the cheque using our app and the money will be paid into your account.

Limits apply.

When your 18th birthday comes, we know you'll need more from your current account, so we'll change it to our Select account.

You don't need to do a thing - we'll automatically change your account on or around your birthday, and let you know when it's ready. All your account details will stay the same.

If you're happy with your account, you don't need to do anything. But if you'd like to choose a different account, we have a range of others you could look at.

If you're over 13 years old, you can make a payment on the go in our mobile app.

If you are aged 13-15 you can pay saved or new payees up to £30 a day via make a payment and pay your contacts features.

If you are aged 16+ you can:

• Pay someone new up to £20,000
• Pay saved payees
• Create, amend and cancel regular payments including standing orders and direct debits

If you're under 16 you can make payments using direct debits and manage them in the mobile app.

Alternatively log in to digital banking where you can view your balance and statements, make payments, transfers and more to help manage your account.

The company, for example a gym collecting the payments will tell you what to do. Usually, you fill in a form online or sometimes it could be in person or over the phone. They’ll let the Royal Bank of Scotland know.

The form is called a Direct Debit Instruction or Direct Debit Mandate. An example of what one might look like is shown here (PDF 149KB) with further information on what each part means.

What you need to know and do?

You should only be setting up Direct Debits with companies when you meet the criteria to use their products or services. For example, you meet their minimum age requirements. The agreement is between you and the company and the bank have nothing to do with that agreement.

If you are under 16 or just need some help ask a parent or guardian before agreeing to make any payments.

You should also make sure you know what you’re expected to pay for the service overall. For example, a gym membership may charge you for a year’s membership but let you pay it with 12 monthly payments. Even if you cancel the agreement they might still look for you to pay for a full year’s membership.

You need to make sure that you have enough money in your account when the company requests it. This is most normally monthly but could be weekly, fortnightly, every 3 months or even once per year. If you don't have enough money in your account, the bank won’t make the payment. The bank won't charge you for this but you may lose access to the company's goods and services. Downloading the Royal Bank of Scotland mobile app and/or signing up for payment alerts can help you better manage your money.

What if the wrong amount is taken or taken at the wrong time?

Direct Debits are safe and secure but occasionally something can go wrong. These payments are covered by something called the Direct Debit Guarantee Scheme.

The Direct Debit Guarantee Scheme protects you. This means that if the bank or the organisation collecting the Direct Debit makes a mistake – such as taking the wrong amount – you can get a refund.

If this happens to you can contact us using the mobile app, digital banking, phone or in branch. 

The bank will cancel a Direct Debit if you don’t leave enough money in your account to pay it 2 months in a row.

Setting up a standing order and any changes to them (amends or cancellations) require 2 working days notice.
