At RBS, we believe in choice. That's why we offer three different travel insurance policies that could meet your needs.

And if you are a Royalties customer you will receive an extra 10% discount.

Reasons to apply for RBS travel insurance:

  • Help with medical emergencies (including repatriation)

  • £250 cash in an emergency

  • Guidance on customs, currency, visa requirements and inoculations
  • 10% additional discount on annual travel insurance if you have our RBS home or car insurance

By paying an extra premium, you can add:

  • Winter sports cover for a maximum of 22 days (to your annual cover)
  • 90 days to a single trip policy

With RBS single trip travel insurance, you can get cover for up to 90 days with the following benefits:

  • We will pay you up to a total of £1,500 for your personal possessions if they are damaged, lost, stolen or destroyed while on your journey. (Single item limit £250, total valuable limit £250).
  • We will pay you up to £100 to replace your personal possessions in an emergency.
  • Up to £10,000,000 for continuous medical and travel expenses incurred abroad as a result of you becoming ill or injured.
  • Up to £250 for extra travel and accommodation costs if you lose your passport or driving licence.

There are no age restrictions for Single Trip policies

With RBS long stay travel insurance, you can get cover for up to 12 months (within Europe) or up to 18 months (outside of Europe) with the following benefits:

  • We will pay you up to a total of £1,000 for your personal possessions if they are damaged, lost, stolen or destroyed while on your journey. (Single item limit £250, total valuable limit £250)
  • We will pay you up to £500 if your personal money is lost or stolen during your trip
  • Up to £5,000,000 for continuous medical and travel expenses incurred abroad as a result of you becoming ill or injured
  • Up to £250 for extra travel and accommodation costs if you lose your passport or driving licence

Policies are only available for customers between 17 to 54 years of age

With RBS annual travel insurance, you can get cover for up to 12 months (42 days maximum trip length, 120 days maximum days abroad per year) with the following benefits:

  • We will pay you up to a total of £1,500 for your personal possessions if they are damaged, lost, stolen or destroyed while on your journey. (Single item limit £250, total valuable limit £250)
  • We will pay you up to £100 to replace your personal possessions in an emergency
  • We will pay you up to £500 if your personal money is lost or stolen during your trip

Policies are only available for customers between 17 to 74 years of age
