Card solutions for government and the public sector


As part of the new GPC framework agreement, RBS will provide a number of payment solutions that include procurement cards (GPC card), pre-loaded cards and
GPC onecard.

We work with a number of public sector clients to deliver a range of payment solutions to help meet government efficiency and savings target. These include central and local government authorities, primary care trusts, universities, schools, emergency services and charities.

You can use these card solutions to reduce processing costs for high volume, low-value transactions whilst meeting current government commitments for speedier payments to suppliers.

A key benefit of the GPC framework agreement is that you don't need to divert resources into managing a time consuming tendering process to acquire payment services. GPC onecard combines your organisations travel and entertainment expenditure with purchasing spend, on a single card. Since launch, onecard has provided organisations with a solution to their complex payment requirements by offering enhanced expense management reports and diversion billing options.

If your organisation is making regular, longer-term payments, such as the payment of disability benefits, a Pre-Loaded Card could be the ideal solution.

You tailor each card to the cardholder's needs, specifying payment limits and permitted categories. Our Lodge programme can save you time and reduce costs by providing both the information and control you need to effectively manage your travel budget.

No cards are issued with the account. Instead travellers in your organisation charge their expenses to one central account that is held with your travel agent. This, in turn, can also be used to generate valuable management reports.

We offer a choice of two different lodge products, onecard Lodge and Visa Lodge. Your Relationship Manager can provide more information on which programme will be the most suited for your organisation.
