Making international currency payments with Bankline
With Bankline you can make international payments to overseas beneficiaries in a currency of your choice.
You can also transfer funds between any of your sterling and currency accounts registered in Bankline. You have the flexibility to choose the currency you wish the transfer to be made in.
For international payments or currency inter-account transfers you are able to book a foreign exchange rate in advance, or simply let Bankline automatically book a rate for you.
If you make regular payments or transfers to the same account you can create a template saving the details for future use.
Global Liquidity
Through Bankline you can access Global Liquidity, a cash concentration service designed to optimise your international cash management. It's a funds transfer service, minimising the time you need to spend managing your finances.
If your company has accounts held with our partner banks around the world, Global Liquidity provides an online facility to:
- view full details of balances and transactions on your overseas accounts
- transfer funds between any of your accounts.
Based on sweeping and topping rules set by you, it automatically initiates transfers to move funds wherever they are required.
Once you have used Global Liquidity to consolidate your international cash positions onto accounts with us in the UK, a number of cash management options are available:
- group set-off or pooling arrangements
- zero and target balancing
- special interest bearing accounts
- money market deposits
- money market funds.
Global Liquidity also provides a dedicated monthly report for the management of inter-company loans. The report shows the running inter-company balances created by Global Liquidity's sweeps and tops between master and satellite accounts.
Indicative 'arms-length' interest calculations are performed on the daily inter-company balances. The report can be exported via a CSV (Comma Separated Variable) format.
How to get Global Liquidity
Global Liquidity is an optional service. To find out more, please contact your relationship manager. The time taken to set up the service will vary depending on the number and nature of accounts and banks involved.
