We’re proud to be one of the principal partners for the 26th UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) this November.
We’ll work together to make it a success and take positive action to protect our planet.
COP26 is the next annual UN climate change conference. It’s taking place in Glasgow from 1 - 12 November 2021, and it will be attended by experts and representatives from around the world.
With the need for urgent action clearer than ever, it will be a crucial step in global efforts to tackle climate change and significantly reduce our carbon emissions.
It’s a chance for countries to agree coordinated action, highlight issues, and share knowledge. There’ll be five core areas of focus:
Combating climate change needs us all to work together. We need ambitious goals and effective actions. Governments, businesses and individuals all have a part to play, and we’re determined to rise to the challenge.
As a leading UK bank, we have a key role to play in supporting the transition to a low carbon economy. By providing financial support and expertise, we can help businesses, communities and families adapt and collectively tackle climate change. See how you could reduce your climate impact.
We’re also working hard to reduce our own climate impact and that of our financing activity.
We're committing £100 billion of climate and sustainable funding by 2025 to support the investment the UK needs.
We want to help your business achieve its climate goals and take advantage of the many opportunities moving to a low carbon future brings.
Businesses of all sizes are making a commitment to cut carbon emissions and sharing advice and resources.
From recycling to energy-efficiency, these small, practical changes can add up to big differences.
In our new podcast series, Ade Adepitan talks to businesses about their first steps on a greener journey and what they learned along the way.
At NatWest Group, we're setting ourselves the challenge to at least halve the climate impact of our financing activity by 2030.
