Making payments
This is a secure way to send non-urgent payments to most destinations around the world.
- Secure - your money is sent using electronic bank-to-bank links
- Easy - make your payments by handing in a completed form at your branch
- £20 per payment - there may be extra charges for advice given, expenses and extra work involved in a transaction. For payments to Europe, regardless of currency, you only pay RBS fees (the recipient will need to pay their bank's fees). For all other payments to the rest of the world, you can choose to pay all the charges, only our charges or to have the recipient pay all charges.
- Timescales - most payments arrive within four working days of your account being debited
- Global - you can make payments to most bank accounts around the world
- Flexible - there's no maximum amount you can send, and you can make payments in a choice of currencies
- Send a message - choose to send extra information with the payment

We'll need to know the:
- Currency of the payment
- Name of the recipient
- Charges you will be paying
Beneficiary
- Bank name - we need the full name
- Bank address and sort code
- Account number
