Upgrade to a Student Royalties current account

If you have received a letter from the Royal Bank of Scotland offering to upgrade your Revolve account to Student Royalties we shall be doing this for you around 5th September 2011.

If you have not received a letter from the Royal Bank of Scotland you can continue to upgrade your account. Your account should be upgrade within 5 business days from submission.

All information submitted during this application is protected by strong security techniques including 128-bit encryption.

Eligibility Criteria

To transfer your account online you must:

  • Have an existing Royal Bank of Scotland Current Account
  • Have applied to complete a first full time higher education course, post graduate course or train as a nurse. The course must last for a minimum of 2 years (1 year for postgraduates). You must use the Student Royalties account as your main current account and deposit regular amounts into it by way of local education/Student Awards Agency for Scotland funding, parental contribution, salary, student loan or other funding, such as sponsorship or bursary. We will only allow you to hold one student account which offers preferential terms such as interest free overdraft facilities with us (or any other financial institution). Any account not deemed to be conducted in the above manner or that breach these terms and conditions will be subject to removal of facilities and closure.
  • You must be 18 years old or over if applying for credit facilities.

Cancellation Rights

If you are dissatisfied with your choice of account and decide to close the account or switch, with our approval, to another account within 14 days of the first payment into the account, no extra charges will be payable.
