Members and joint account holders aged 70 years and over must pay an additional annual premium of £50. If you have an existing medical condition you may have to pay an additional annual premium or accept your cover may exclude certain conditions.

If you’re under age 70 and don’t have a medical condition, you’re covered automatically.



UK and European travel cover


Cover includes:

  • Medical and Dental expenses – up to £10 million per person and hospital benefits up to £400 per person.
  • Winter sports cover – with no need to register.
  • Legal expenses – up to £50,000 and personal liability up to £2 million per policy.
  • Baggage cover – up to £1,500 per claim per person for personal possessions that are lost, damaged, stolen or destroyed while you’re on holiday.
  • Cancellation cover – up to £5,000 per person.
  • Catastrophe cover – up to £500 per person if a disaster, such as fire, flood or avalanche, causes you to cancel or change your holiday.

Main exclusions


  • Over 70s – if you are aged 70 or over, you must call us each year on
    0845 607 5154. Minicom 08456 00 05 12. Calls may be recorded. You'll have to pay an annual premium of £50 (per person, per annum) and complete a short medical questionnaire.
  • Existing medical conditions – if you have an existing medical condition, you must call us on 0845 607 5154. Minicom 08456 00 05 12. Calls may be recorded. You’ll need to complete a short medical questionnaire. We may be able to provide cover at no extra cost for your pre-existing medical conditions, there may be an extra premium or we may be unable to cover you.
  • 22 day maximum limit – for trip duration, including winter sport holidays.
  • The party – cover applies to the Select Silver Account holder only. If you have a joint account, both parties are covered.
  • UK trips – these must be pre-booked, at least two nights in duration and a minimum of 25 miles from your home address.

Who is covered under the policy?

The policy only covers the Select Silver Account holder or account holders when it's a joint account.

You can’t add anyone else to the policy.

Does the policy cover holidays in the UK?

Yes, provided your UK holiday involves pre-booked accommodation of at least two nights and is at least 25 miles from your home.

What’s the longest holiday that can be covered under the policy?

The maximum length of trip is 22 days for all holidays, including winter sport holidays.
