Fraud Prevention – include Credit Report Monitoring and Valuable Document registration:

Credit report monitoring

Provided by Experian, a leading global information services company, you have unlimited online and offline access to your credit report. You can set up text and email alerts to warn you if anyone is making a credit application in your name or if there’s any change to your credit status. Charges may apply.

  • Valuable document registration - lets you keep important information, such as your passport number or details of insurance policies, in a secure place. If you lose your documents, we can provide you with their details.

Fraud Resolution – include Personal Caseworker and CIFAS registration:

  • Personal support – if you fall victim to identity theft, a dedicated caseworker will be appointed to help defend and restore your credit status.
  • CIFAS registration – your details are registered with CIFAS (the UK’s fraud prevention service). If you become a victim, an optional alert will be placed on your credit file through CIFAS to request additional security checks in credit application to ensure they’re genuine.

We will provide you with advice on what you need to do. This could involve:

  • Filing a police report.
  • Telling your bank and any other companies who may be involved

Q. We have a joint Select Silver Account, do we both receive Identity Theft Assistance?

A. Yes, both account holders can receive identity theft support. However, you both have to register individually before both of you are covered for the Experian Credit Report Monitoring.

Q. What is CIFAS?

A. CIFAS is the UK’s fraud prevention service. It has 260 members spread across banking, credit cards, asset finance, retail credit, mail order, insurance, savings and investments, telecommunications, factoring, and share dealing.

Members share information about identified frauds to help prevent further fraud.
