Statements



See your latest transactions for all your accounts that you manage using Digital Banking including:

  • Current accounts
  • Savings accounts
  • Credit cards
  • Loans
  • Mortgages

Expand them to view detail and search transactions from up to seven years ago on some accounts.

Payments



Pay your friends, family, credit card, or utility bills – just set up and make your first payment to each new payee in Digital Banking beforehand.

Transfers



Move money between your accounts. Transfers are processed immediately and your balances are updated.

Pay your contacts



Pay your contacts enables you to pay someone using just their UK mobile number. You don’t have to know their account details.

You can use this service to

  • Pay someone with a RBS/NatWest mobile app. Payee will be notified by SMS and funds will reach the payee’s account instantly. Sum of all such payments to RBS/NatWest app users in a day cannot exceed £250.
  • Pay someone who does not have an RBS/NatWest mobile app but has a valid UK Visa debit, credit or prepaid card. You will have to inform your contact separately about the exact amount. This will be a secret between you and your contact. We’ll send your contact a text message notifying them of the payment but not the amount. The text message will have a link to a Visa payment collection site. On this collection site your contact will have to enter the exact amount and their Visa card number. Payee has 7 days to collect a payment from the day they receive the notification. We’ll notify you by text message when they’ve collected the payment and your balance has been debited. Sum of all your payments to non RBS/NatWest app users cannot exceed £250.

‘Pay your contacts’ limits are independent of daily withdrawal and Get Cash limits.

Set up mobile banking alerts to help you manage your spending

  • Select a day and time to receive your weekly balance alert
  • Get limit alerts when your balance goes below or above a set amount

Alerts apply to the account you nominated during registration.

  • Add up to five different mobile phones
  • Works with all the major UK mobile networks, you will not be able to top up phones on the 3 network

Top up payments will be taken from the account linked to your debit card used during registration.

Costs and charges for mobile banking



RBS will not charge you for any mobile banking services, however, your mobile network operator may charge depending on your tariff.

Please check with your network provider.

Mobile phone top up charges



Mobile phone top ups will be debited directly from your account linked to your debit card during registration and will be shown on your current account statement (service currently not available for customers on the 3 network).

To use our iPhone app you need to



  • Be an RBS customer who is registered for Online Banking. Visit our Digital Banking pages to register
  • Have a RBS personal account with a debit card
  • Be over age 11 and have a have a mainland UK mobile number starting 07

To register



Registering your RBS iPhone app is easy and only takes a few minutes:

  • Download the new app from the App Store
    This links to itunes.apple.com. If you cannot access iTunes from your computer, please access the App Store from your iPhone and search for 'RBS'.
  • Enter your mobile number and verify your handset
  • Accept the Terms and Conditions
  • Provide some personal information - including your Digital Banking log in details, debit card number, card security number and postcode

Once you register we'll verify your details and you should be able to start using you new app within 24 hours.

How to cancel the service



You can cancel the service at any time.

Delete the application from your mobile.

To cancel your text alerts set up through your app, text 'STOP' to 87727 or turn alerts off within the app.
