  • Select a day and time to receive your weekly balance alert
  • Get limit alerts when your balance goes below or above a set amount

Alerts apply to the account you nominated during registration.

  • Top up your family's pay-as-you-go mobiles

Top up payments will be taken from the account linked to your debit card used during registration.

Costs and charges for mobile banking



RBS will not charge you for any mobile banking services, however, your mobile network operator may charge depending on your tariff.

Please check with your network provider.

Mobile phone top up charges



Mobile phone top ups will be debited directly from your account linked to your debit card during registration and will be shown on your current account statement (service currently not available for customers on the 3 network).

To use our iPhone app you need to



  • Be an RBS customer who is registered for Online Banking. Visit our Digital Banking pages to register
  • Have a RBS personal account with a debit card
  • Be over age 11 and have a have a mainland UK mobile number starting 07

To register



Registering your RBS iPhone app is easy and only takes a few minutes:

  • Download the new app from the App Store
    This links to itunes.apple.com. If you cannot access iTunes from your computer, please access the App Store from your iPhone and search for 'RBS'.
  • Enter your mobile number and verify your handset
  • Accept the Terms and Conditions
  • Provide some personal information - including your online banking customer number, debit card number, card security number and postcode

Once you register we'll verify your details and you should be able to start using you new app within 24 hours.

How to cancel the service



You can cancel the service at any time.

Delete the application from your mobile.

To cancel your text alerts set up through your app, text 'STOP' to 87727 or turn alerts off within the app.
