Alerts Service - text and email alerts

How our Alerts Service can give you advance warning

Our Alerts are more than just a handy way to stay on top of your money, they can also warn you of any unusual activity on your account. And the sooner you know, the sooner you can get in touch with us to put things right.

Activity Alerts

Activity Alerts can let you know if there has been any unexplained activity on your account. You'll receive a text if certain updates or amendments - such as a change of address - are made to your account. So if you are alerted to an update you did not make, you can report this to us immediately. Activity Alerts increase security without the need to log-in to online banking, call or visit a branch to view your activity.

Balance Update Alert

Register for a Balance Alert, and choose which day you'd like to receive your weekly balance update. You can even choose to receive your balance in the morning or afternoon - and there's no need to visit your branch or a cash machine.
And if your balance is less than you expect, it's worthwhile checking out why — and reporting anything suspicious immediately.

Lower Limit Alert

You might choose to set a lower limit alert - perhaps £20 or £50. When your account dips below this level, we'll send you a text.
This is particularly useful if anyone else tries to withdraw funds from your account. The lower limit alert will draw your attention to the problem, so you can report it to us immediately.

Upper Limit Alert

This Alert can let you know when funds have been received in your account and your balance reaches a certain level. For example, you could use the Alert to let you know when you receive a salary.
