Preparing for your appointment

Your first step to making your financial goals a reality

So that you can get the most out of your Financial Planning review, it’s useful to do some planning before the meeting. If you don’t have time, don’t worry.

You could think about:

  • Your financial goals – are you planning to save for something in particular, arrange protection for you and your family or plan for your retirement?
  • Your current finances – are you happy with your current arrangements? Do you have a monthly budget you try to stick to? The more we know, the more we can help.
  • What the future holds – is there anything likely to happen in the future (such as starting your own business or receiving an inheritance) that could change your plans?

What you could bring

To help us get a better picture of your current position, it’s a good idea to bring:

  • Any existing life assurance and protection policies
  • Any bank or building society savings account statements or passbooks
  • Certificates for any investments or shares you have
  • Details of any pension scheme you’re a member of
  • A recent payslip
