With-Profit funds pool the investments of many investors into one fund. It invests in a broad mix of equities (stocks and shares), government and corporate bonds, property and cash.

With-Profit funds differ from other investment funds in the way that they aim to smooth the returns you receive from the rises and falls of investment performance. They do this by adding a bonus.

A With-Profit fund is made up of units. Every unit has a value called the unit price. The unit price increases as bonuses are added but it may fall if investment conditions have been poor.

A With-Profits fund could add something to your investment portfolio. Use this table to help you decide if it’s right for you.
