Cover your most valuable possessions with RBS Essentials Contents Insurance. RBS Essentials Contents Insurance allows you to specify the level of cover you need, so you can cover the items most valuable to you. Cover is available for items such as laptops, MP3 players, bicycles and mobile phones even when taken outside the home, halls of residence or shared accommodation.

If you wish to pay monthly there is no interest on your instalments –(available when the annual premium is over £70 including insurance premium tax, subject to eligibility). Benefits such as vandalism and walk-in-theft (except money) are covered as standard.

  • Choose to cover individual items such as laptops, MP3 players, bicycles and mobile phones even when taken outside the home.
  • Easy to set up for students – we can set your policy up on your university address if you don’t know your residential address yet.
  • Pay monthly at no extra cost (when the equivalent annual premium is over £70 inclusive of insurance premium tax, subject to eligibility).
  • Cover for walk in theft (except money)
  • Cover for your college library books (up to £200) or college items on loan (up to £500) if lost or stolen
  • Choose to cover information you have stored on your Home Entertainment Equipment or mobile phone, up to £250
  • All policies include up to £50 cash in the home and £500 credit card misuse cover
