Top up your mobile

Top Up

No vouchers. No calls. Just easy top-ups.

Did you know you can top-up your pay-as-you-go mobile phone at any of our UK cash machines? And you can do it 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

All you pay for is the top-up – there’s no other charge. The good news is that top-ups work with all the major mobile networks. You can even top-up a friend or relative’s phone.

How does it work?
Topping up at a cash machine takes around 40 seconds. See for yourself just how easy it is.

  • Step 1: Insert your RBS card as usual in the cash machine and enter your PIN
  • Step 2: Select 'Mobile phone top-up' from the main menu
  • Step 3: Select which phone network you belong to
  • Step 4: Choose the amount you wish to top-up your phone with
  • Step 5: Enter your mobile phone number on the keypad and confirm

Providing you have sufficient funds in your account, the top-up will be instant.

Will it work with my network?
Yes - if you have an O2, Orange, T-Mobile, Vodafone, Virgin Mobile or Tesco Mobile pre-pay phone.

Will it work with my bank card?
Yes - all you need is a Royal Bank of Scotland account with a debit card.

Which cash machines can I use?
You can top-up your mobile at The Royal Bank of Scotland or NatWest cash machines. Use our Branch/ATM Locator to find your nearest RBS or NatWest cash machine.

How much can I top-up at once?
The maximum top-up in any transaction is £50. Want to add more? You can use the top-up service more than once a day, as long as you stay within your daily cash withdrawal limit and have enough money in your bank account.

However, some mobile network operators limit the number or value of top-ups you can make. To find out more, please contact your mobile network operator.

Important information
Whenever you use the cash machine top-up service, your bank account will be debited with the top-up amount requested. This will reduce your daily cash withdrawal limit.

If, for any reason, the top-up amount is not credited to your phone, please contact the Customer Services Department of your mobile network operator.

Please read Legal information before using the service.
