If you apply for a Platinum Card, we reserve the right to issue you with The Royal Bank of Scotland Classic Card with the same APR and no annual fee, if you do not qualify for a Platinum Card. The application process takes place within a secure Web site. All information submitted is protected by strong security techniques including 128-bit encryption so that it cannot be read by others.

The information you provide will be subject to a credit search with a credit-scoring bureau. Each time a credit search is conducted it is recorded against your details held at the credit-scoring bureau.

To complete an application you should have the following: Income details, Bank or Building Society details, Employer's name, address and telephone number, Details of a previous address if you've lived at your current address for less than two years, and Details of other credit or store cards (should you wish to transfer a balance to RBS).
