International Business Insight
Research and events focussing on international trade
We recently commissioned the Economist Intelligence Unit to produce a report for us on international supply chains entitled 'How resilient will international supply chains prove in 2010?' The report provides invaluable insight to help your business strengthen its supply chain in the year ahead. As the Illuminas "Responding to Recession" research showed, those doing business internationally have a more positive outlook than those companies with a purely domestic customer base.
Download this report to find out more about the latest thinking on modern supply chain management and its effect on the global growth of your business.
We have also recently sponsored the ACT 'Treasurer's Guide to Trade Finance 2010' booklet. This annual publication provides insight to international trade issues and contains global and regional analysis and country profiles as well as trends in this area. It's designed to support treasurers who are new to the subject - or who may want to take a fresh look in this environment - by showing how traditional techniques can be used in new and imaginative ways.
In partnership with UK Trade & Investment (the government's international business development organisation), RBS is working on the Asia Task Force. Over 2010-11 the Task Force will be promoting to UK businesses the breadth of opportunities in key Asian markets, through a series of high-profile events. These practical events bring together expertise from across the UK and Asia with the aim of galvanizing more UK companies to do business in Asia.
We have also teamed up with The British Exporters Association (BExA) to sponsor their in-depth guide to exporting. Written by experienced exporters, ‘The BExA Guide to Successful Exporting’ contains practical advice and information covering the end-to-end export process, from strategy and making an offer to contracts and direct shipping. The guide also gives you the opportunity to tap into the real life experiences of successful exporters. It will help you to navigate the pitfalls of exporting, to achieve even greater success.
