Bankline update

Your Bankline service has been enhanced with the following features:

  • Make international payments
  • Generate remittance advices for BACS payments.
  • New 'Authorise Own Payment' privileges

If you are assigned user privileges for these features by your Bankline Administrator, you will see changes in the Payments menu.

Note to Administrators:

You can give users access to international payments by assigning privileges to user roles.

International Payments

You can now make payments to overseas beneficiaries from the accounts you have registered in Bankline. You can choose the payment currency, and enter details of a pre-ordered foreign exchange rate for large transactions.

Remittance Advice for BACS Payments

You are now able to generate remittance advices for BACS payments, and have the option of using your company letterhead.

Authorise Own Payments Privileges

The privileges available to Bankline users have been enhanced to improve the flexibility and control available. Six new Authorise Own Payment privileges have been introduced.

Important Information

International Payment Routing

If you require payments to be routed via an intermediary bank, or you have specific payment routing requirements, you should continue to use your existing payment service until Bankline provides this capability in a future release.

International Payment Fees

Fees for international payments will be based on the rate agreed with your Relationship Manager and will be charged at the time of the transaction.

Cut-off Times

Cut-off times for submitting international payments will vary according to the type of payment being made:

  • 12:00 - foreign draft
  • 14:30 - urgent international Euro
  • 15:30 - urgent international GBP
  • 16:00 - urgent international (other currency)
  • 16:30 - standard international; currency inter-account transfer; low value payment; pay by cheque; and pay on application.
