Trojans

This is a computer virus that can be installed on your computer silently and without your knowledge.

Fraudsters will typically attempt to trick you into following a link from an email to a malicious website or you may visit a bona fide web site that has been compromised. Vulnerabilities in your web browser could be exploited to install a virus or other malicious software.

Such emails often seem harmless - a joke, greetings card message or a current ‘hot’ topic. However, they can often create security breaches and cause a great deal of harm, such as stealing your banking passwords.
