What happens if a long-term illness or accidental injury means you can't work? The Income Protection Plan provided by Aviva Health UK limited could be the answer.
Why choose income protection?
- Security - your benefits are guaranteed every month until you are fit enough to go back to work, or until the plan ends (for example at your intended retirement age)
- Tax-free - under current UK tax rules, any income you receive from the plan is paid tax-free
- Choose your benefits - your cover can pay benefits up to 60% of your current gross earnings to a maximum of £3,000 per month
- Flexible - choose how long you want the income to be paid if you're off work - this can be until any age from 50 to 65. You can also decide how soon you would like the payments to start if you were unable to work
- Inflation-tracking - benefits are linked to the Retail Prices Index
