If you're setting up a new company or have been trading as a small business for less than a year, our start-up package could be just what you need to get your business off the ground. What's more you can save over £800.

Our Start-up package includes:

  • Two years' free Business Banking with our Business Current Account – saving you £336.
  • £500 fee-free overdraft in the first year to help you manage your cash flow – saving you £50. (Subject to status. Over 18s only).
  • Free Regus Gold Card Membership for 12 months worth £420 p.a. – giving you unlimited access to 1,200 Regus business lounges and cafes around the world.
  • No annual fee on your credit card for the first 12 months – saving you £32 per card.

Some of the features of this package are

  • Free unlimited transactions – no matter how many deposits or withdrawals you make, as long as your business turnover is less than £1 million.
  • £1 minimum balance – keep at least £1 in your account and you never need to worry about charges.
  • No annual fee on your Business Credit Card – apply for an RBS Business Credit Card in the first six months of opening your account and we'll waive the annual £32 fee for your first year.
  • Free Digital, Telephone and Mobile banking – pay bills and make transfers 24 hours a day, seven days a week. (Available to all business current account holders).

What does free business banking mean?

Free banking means that the charges for the day to day running of your account (known as your 'service charge') will not apply during the free banking period. At the end of this period, you will automatically move to the Standard Tariff. Charges for "Additional Services" and "Unarranged Borrowing" are not part of the free banking offer. Free banking applies to businesses that started trading within the past twelve months with projected or existing annual turnover not exceeding £1 million.

Foundation Account

If you don’t qualify for our Business Current Account, for example if you have a poor credit history, we will talk to you about our Foundation Account when we receive your application.

There are no borrowing facilities available with a Foundation Account.
